The Research Team is the dedicated function in Investment Consulting, we provide research to a wide range of institutional investors such as DB and DC pensions, charity, endowment, insurance companies and family offices.
We are looking for a Senior Researcher with a specialism in Private Markets and Real Assets. This role can be based at any of our office locations so please specify your preference when applying.
Your research responsibilities will include Private Equity, Private debt (working alongside fixed income specialist), infrastructure and Real Estate.
You will be the expert on the funds in the asset classes you cover and will be able to provide advice on these to consultants and also directly to clients in supporting the client’s lead consultant. You'll be required to attend trustee and investment sub-committee meetings. You will work closely with a back-up researcher and will be responsible for setting up research priorities for the asset classes you cover. You'll research new areas of the asset class and consider how asset classes within your speciality interact with each other, and with the wider investment strategy that clients have in place. You'll bring forward new ideas at a strategy level that will benefit clients (focussed on, but not limited to your specialism) You'll have a view on fixed income markets within the context of other asset classes and the wider economy, and contribute to the research team’s market outlook view. You'll also have responsibility for ESG evaluation as part of fund research, propose ESG ratings and determine how it affects the overall fund rating.
Ideally you'll be working within an investment consultancy or research role for institutional clients (DB or DC pension funds, endowments, charities) and will be FIA or CFA qualified or nearly qualified.
